Major Fortunes

🌷🔮Life and Fortune

In Doushu Astrology, there is a clear distinction between a person's Life and Fortune.

🌷 Life: A person's Life is made up of 12 aspects, represented by the 12 palaces of the Life Chart. The 12 palaces describe who you are, what you do, and your relationships with others.  Click here to learn more about the 12 Palaces.

🔮 Fortune: A person's Fortune represents the past, present, and future events and experiences in their life. It reflects a person's life journey.

• A Major Fortune covers a specific 10-year period.
• An Annual Fortune covers one year.
• There are also monthly, daily, and hourly fortunes.

🍑 Major Fortune

One Major Fortune covers 10 years (one decade) of a person's life. A Life Chart contains 12 palaces, each of which is associated with one Major Fortune. Thus, there are 12 Major Fortunes labeled on the Life Chart.

The first Major Fortune begins at a person's Life Palace. Subsequent Major Fortunes rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise, with each new palace covering the next 10 years of life.

🍑 Beginning Age and Ending Age of Each Major Fortune

The beginning and ending ages of each Major Fortune are shown at the top of each palace. These ages vary among individuals, depending on their Five Element Formation.

Moving counterclockwise in the sequence of the 12 palaces, the next becomes the Major Sibling Palace, followed by the Major Spouse Palace, and so on for the remaining palaces.
